Youth @ CCK

Who are we?
Youth @ CCK (more commonly known as Yuf) is a weekly youth event. Yuf has been running for around six years now and is generally a wicked time for all those involved. Yuf is open to secondary school aged kids and currently attracts a group of 15 to 25 people aged 11 to 17.

What do we do?
Whatever we want! That’s not true. We do a wide range of stuff and have huge amounts of fun. We meet regularly
at the church building where we play games, eat junk food and consume large amounts of sugary drinks so we can reach a suitable hypo state! We seriously get into the word of God by taking part in discussion groups and receive relavent bible based teaching. We also devote time to worship and prayer, encouraging a personal development in our relationships
with God.

Yuf doesn’t just take place at the church building, we also have regular social events at various places. Our Social events vary and are usually selected on a democratic basis (who wants to do what?). Some of the things we’ve done are: Progressive junk food dinner, fun in the sun at Greenwich park, a trip to central London and the Troccadero, pancake breakfasts and live concerts.

Where do we meet?
That depends on what we’re doing. A regular events sheet is programmed and given to those attending so they can see what’s happening in the future. Also, the weekly CCK notice sheet (distributed on Sunday meeting at church) will tell you where the Yuf are meeting on a week to week basis.

How do I get involved?
Feel free to contact the church office or why not just come along one Sunday morning and meet us?

We look forward to seeing you.

All our children’s work is run in accordance with our Child Protection Policy which has been agreed with Greenwich Council. As part of that process all our children’s workers have Criminal Records Checks & undergo training.
