The Feast

Our aims
• To show the love of God to the homeless in Plumstead, Woolwich
  and the surrounding areas
• To establish works that are built on solid foundations
• To be involved in transforming society
• To see peoples live’s improved at The Feast

We provide a free hot meal and drinks in a safe and friendly environment. Second hand clothes are also given out and there’s board games and table tennis as well. Housing advice and general support is available and we generally seek to build friendships as best we can.

Members of the Substance Misuse Engagement Team visit regularly to give help & advice on mental health issues, & to refer guests for Housing, Detox & Rehabilitation as appropriate.
The Greenwich Drug & Alcohol Team also visit for research purposes.

Here’s what some of our guests have said:
“Its reassuring knowing you’re always there on Friday nights.
I’ve made good contacts & been given good advice. The Feast team are people who care & realise that we are vulnerable. They’ve given winter clothing that we can’t afford.”

Alan

"It’s good, it brings people together. You feel good afterwards. Nice people, friendly atmosphere.”
Steve

“A drop in the ocean, but a big drop. It gives some people hope, it’s an oasis & I feel there is help & hope.”

“It’s one of the most friendly atmospheres & the staff are good & the food is excellent.”
